I diskussionen med Lara (The antisemitism that nobody wants to explain) har fått mig (Erik) att tänka på de förtrycktas pedagogik av Paulo Freire. I diskussionen handlade det om vems röst som får utrymme varav vi behöver de förtrycktas berättelse.
Här är en videohälsning från mig till Mehmet daterad 23 oktober 2025 från Havanna där jag läser en bit ur De Förtrycktas Pedagogik.
Ljudet är lite burkigt från ljudet av Havanna, men ack så viktig text. Känslan när man läser den påminner om den djupa och svåra insikten om våldets nödvändighet i den antikoloniala kampen som man får av Franz Fanons "Jordens Fördömda" (The wretched of the earth).
Jag hoppas detta perspektiv är till nytta.

We discuss the qualitative and structural difference between Palestinian hostility towards their Jewish oppressors and white-supremacist antisemitism. A conflation often used to shut down dissent or filter discourse from Palestinans or the solidarity movement, and projecting hegemonic narratives onto oppressed peoples.

The brutal zionist genocide and starvation siege in Gaza continues.
 
The Sameer Project is a donations based aid initiative, led by Palestinians, working to supply emergency shelter and aid to displaced families in Gaza.
With their almost 200 employees in Gaza and using whatever is available on the ground, they have managed to help thousands of Palestinians everyday in a consistent and dignified manner. This is something established international organizations failed to do, due to their reliance on external goods controlled by "Israel" and the "Israeli" permission they require to operate in Gaza among other things. The Sameer Project does not just distribute donations but build infrastructure like desalination plants and bakeries to turn the aid into sustainable stability.
 
We talked to co-founders Lena and Hala on why and how they started the project, what the current situation on the ground is and aid as politics.

Mujamma Haraket is an academic expert on Palestinian resistance history, especially the Islamic Resistance Movement, and political philosophy. Besides his academic expertise, Mujamma follows the developments in Gaza very closely and reports on them regularly on his twitter account @mujammaharaket.
He also publishes archival and contemporary translations on Palestine on substack @mujammaharaket.
